Career Summary
I am a hardware engineer with solid knowledge of all computer related hardware.
I feel I have a natural talent for Hardware and software and the support roles associated with them. In my various roles in the I.T. industry it would be very safe to say I have upgraded, repaired and manufactured well in excess of three thousand computers.
I am very familiar with the software and networking environments of which platforms include, Dos, Xenix, Unix, Pathworks, HP UX, Novel, Lanmanager, and more recently the Windows environments of Win3.1 95, 98, 2000, NT and XP.
I have been responsible for the running of service departments and for the support of a state-wide chain of The Mitre 10 Hardware stores. As a Customer Systems Engineer, I have served large clients including BHP, Telecom and several departments at Monash University. I have also been responsible for the service and support of several very large Real Estate companies in the Melbourne inner east area and their branch stores.
In my role as a Field Service Engineer, my duties included the repair, upgrade and manufacture of all computer hardware, software and networking problems encountered by my clients.
I have held a position as Hardware Manager for Locktronic Systems, duties included all purchasing, assembling, and maintaining the computers, cameras and other speed measuring devices manufactured by the company. I was also the in house system administrator for the company’s computer network.
